Exterior Design

Seal 05 DM front face styling style is consistent with Seal 06, flattened shape with multiple ribbed decorations, has a good sense of sport. The headlamps use irregular contours, the inner side is a sharp acute angle shape, the internal light source structure is very delicate. The front bar comes with a bulging spoiler shape on the outside and features a new styled front bumper with a black mesh grille in the center and a prominent spoiler scoop design at the bottom.

The new car is available in four color schemes – Snow White, Time Gray, Atlantis Gray, and Magic Black – and also adopts a new style of 16-inch wheels with 225/60 R16 tires for a cool visual effect. In terms of size, the new car’s length, width and height are 4780mm/1837mm/1515mm, and the wheelbase is 2718mm, compared with the Destroyer 05 on sale, Seal 05DM length increased by 20mm.

Interior design

Seal 05 DM basic continuation of Seal 06 DM design style, but in the details of the more minimalist, still straight line design elements, the new car will be equipped with 8.8-inch floating LCD instrumentation, floating center screen according to different configurations to provide 10.1-inch, 12.8-inch specifications, equipped with the DiLink intelligent network system, providing 4G network, intelligent voice and so on.

The three-spoke steering wheel is the same as Seal 06DM, with a good sense of fashion. The sub center console is a three-dimensional modeling structure, with a wireless charging panel for cell phones in the front, crystal style electronic gear lever visual effect is very chic, around the arrangement of power form, driving mode, automatic parking, volume control, vehicle start/shutdown and other buttons.

Seats are not used in one-piece design style, perforated leather design with exquisite stitching design, the overall visual sense is good, it is expected that the high end models will provide front seat ventilation/heating, multi-directional power adjustment + memory for the main driver’s seat, and so on.

Power

The BYD Seal 05 DM adopts DM 5.0 technology and is powered by a 1.5L engine with a maximum power of 74kW, matched with a 120kW permanent magnet synchronous motor, a figure consistent with the Seal 06DM-i. Pure electric range, BYD Seal 05 DM equipped with 7.680kWh and 15.898kWh two sets of different capacity battery packs, corresponding to the pure electric range of 43km and 90km, respectively, in addition to reference to the Seal 06 DM, the new car 100km of loss of electricity fuel consumption NEDC condition can enter the 2L level, the comprehensive range can be more than 2000km.
