Exterior Design

Chevrolet Menlo adopts the design language of “Muscle Streamline” in its exterior styling, which creates a wider body effect and a low-slung feeling of a coupe by stretching the proportion of the front end horizontally and lowering the center of gravity of the front end. The protruding shape above the hood, combined with the variable cross-section wind screen channels located under the front face on both sides, also highlights the strong and powerful facial expression. At the same time, the front face design and headlights follow Chevrolet’s classic dual-element style, with the upper part of the dual grille unfolding from the “gold bowtie” logo and integrating with the full-LED headlamps through plated accents, which is endowed with new high-tech connotations and textures. Menlo’s fast-charging port is hidden in the Chevrolet logo, realizing the harmony between the charging port, the logo and the front bumper. The double-arrow design of the headlights adopts matrix full-LED technology, effectively reducing the height of the entire lamp, while the simple design of the lamp inner ring increases the sense of technology and sportiness, and at the same time, strengthens the horizontal view width of the entire vehicle.

Menlo’s body side proportion is more dynamic and smooth, the rising window line and the backward lowered roof, while guaranteeing sufficient headroom, creates the dynamic posture of running; the photolithographic waistline and the side of the car star flow curve, inherits the FNR-X sports coupe stance; the razor blade surround kit runs from the front face to the rear end, which effectively reduces the wind resistance and highlights the sporty style; the 17-inch technological up-and-coming aluminum wheels are painted in two colors to create a strong sense of technology and sportiness; and the 17-inch aluminum wheel is painted in two colors to create a strong sense of sportiness. In the rear design, Menlo creates a rich sense of hierarchy and power, and its sliding back shape shows personalized sporty style, brings excellent wind resistance performance and energy saving effect, and also provides good spatial comfort for drivers and passengers. The entire D-pillar high-gloss black design extends from the roof to the taillights and tailgate, presenting a fashionable, technological and mysterious effect through the ingenious modeling language and blackening treatment. The dual-element taillights draw inspiration from the FNR-X concept car, with obsidian black accents between the taillights, and the turn signals and wide beams work together to create a technological lighting effect.

Power Performance

Menlo is equipped with a high-performance electric drive system, with a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) that delivers a maximum power of 110kW and a maximum torque of 350Nm, accelerating from 0-50km/h in just 3.6 seconds. Meanwhile, Menlo provides 3 driving modes + 3 energy recovery modes to meet different driving habits.

Safety Configuration

In terms of passive safety, Menlo’s body of high-strength steel, ultra-high-strength steel and hot-forming steel application ratio is as high as 66.82%, of which the proportion of hot-forming steel is 11.75%, which reduces the weight of the whole vehicle and greatly improves the rigidity of the whole vehicle at the same time.

In terms of active safety, Menlo is equipped with the latest generation Bosch ESP 9.3 electronic stability control system with 17 sub-functions to ensure all-round safety.

In terms of intelligent safety system, Menlo is equipped with FCA Forward Collision Warning System + CMB Collision Mitigation System, LDW Lane Departure Warning SBZA Side Blind Zone Alarm System, and APA Automatic Parking System, which can always avoid danger for you.

Interior Space

In terms of interior design, Menlo adheres to the dual-cockpit design language, creating a hierarchical sense of dual-element three-dimensional driving space, combined with intuitive operation as the core of the interaction design, coupled with the first launch of the new energy exclusive “Hydrogen Blue” color interior, which highlights the sense of science and technology and passion for driving at the same time, to convey the awareness of environmental protection.

The center console adopts a multi-layer design, utilizing dynamic sculptural surfaces to enhance the overall spatial sense of the cabin by extending the horizontal visual proportions. 10.1-inch full LCD touch screen with ultra-thin floating design, the overall translucent and thin, coupled with the 8-inch full-color LCD instrument panel, together with the ambient lighting embellishments, presenting a sense of full of science and technology. The three-dimensional tailored seats use double-layered design in the shoulder and lumbar area to provide the ultimate wrapping sense and perfect lateral support, while the seats use biodegradable environmental protection leather in a large area, with dynamic linear technological graphic pattern to provide the most comfortable ride perception; the center armrest adopts novel leaping layer design, with three-dimensional division of the storage function.

The roof of the car is equipped with a 1290*910mm one-piece large sunroof, laminated glass sound insulation, effectively blocking 96% of ultraviolet rays, but also provides an excellent view. Thanks to the ingenious design, Menlo has outstanding interior space performance, its body dimensions of 4665*1813*1538mm, wheelbase of 2660mm, no matter longitudinal and lateral, front and rear rows, can provide generous space.

In terms of storage design, there are as many as 28 multi-functional storage spaces, of which 21 are located on the driver’s side, the passenger side, the four doors and seats, and 7 are located in the trunk, which can satisfy all kinds of storage needs. Especially when the rear seats are completely flat, the trunk volume can be expanded from 433L to 1,077L, easily accommodating eight 24-inch suitcases.

It is worth mentioning that the front cup holder innovatively adopts the combination design of inserts, and the owner can customize the combination of inserts according to the actual needs, placing different sizes of cups and beverages, cell phones, handbags, tissue boxes, etc., to achieve excellent unity of function and design.
