Hongqi is a high-end automotive brand directly operated by FAW Group. Since its establishment in 1958, Hongqi cars have long been used as inspection vehicles for major celebrations in China, serving as one of the representative high-end domestic automotive brands.
The Hongqi brand relies on three major technology platforms: Tiangong Pure Electric, Honghu Hybrid, and Jiuzhang Intelligent, forming a full spectrum matrix covering fuel, pure electric, plug-in hybrid, and extended range. In 2024, Tiangong Pure Electric Platform and Jiuzhang Intelligent Platform will be released, introducing hybrid models such as H9 PHEV and HS9, as well as new energy products such as EH7 and E-QM5. At the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, the Flying Car Tianlian 1 and the first luxury rugged off-road vehicle will be showcased, equipped with the Sinan 1000 intelligent driving system and fully active intelligent chassis technology. As a time-honored Chinese brand, its design incorporates traditional cultural elements such as the axis of the Forbidden City and bronze ware patterns, and has reached strategic cooperation with the Forbidden City and Dunhuang Academy. As of 2024, it has served a total of 1273 national foreign affairs activities and served as a ceremonial vehicle during the visits of 70 heads of state to China.
