The Mercedes-Benz GLC is Mercedes-Benz’s first all-new crossover model, formerly a coupe version of the GLK. Since the initial release in 2015, the series has undergone continuous iterations and updates, including a 7-seater version with the same large central control screen as the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
The model’s powertrain options include 1.8T, 2.0T, and 3.0-liter V6 gasoline engines, with maximum power ranging from 135 kW to 180 kW [1]. A GLC coupe SUV and a long-wheelbase version are planned for release in 2024, and a pure electric version equipped with AIRMATIC air suspension and active steering will make its global debut in 2025. A domestically produced extended-wheelbase pure electric version and a 6-seater model are planned for release in 2026.

Powertrain Specifications
In terms of powertrain, the new model will offer multiple powertrain options. For gasoline engines, it is expected to provide three choices: a 1.8T, a 2.0T, and a 3.0-liter V6. Maximum output power is 135 kW (GLC200 4MATIC), 155 kW (GLC260 4MATIC), and 180 kW (GLC300 4MATIC), respectively. The GLC’s integrated control system features a touchpad and dynamic driving selector. Features such as the distance control system automatically follow the vehicle ahead, offering three different power tuning options to further improve its wading ability and off-road performance. It is user-friendly and easy to use, with increases of 100mm and 50mm respectively.
Space
With the rear seats folded down completely, the transition is natural. The elongated hood, five driving modes, and more spacious cargo area make the GLC offer more room for passengers and cargo than its predecessor.
When the vehicle in front is stopped, the GLC has a sleek and proportionate body.
Configuration Information
The off-road animation is particularly captivating: parameters such as gradient, steering angle, direction of travel, roll angle, as well as acceleration and braking levels are all dynamically displayed in real time on the central display, making the center console appear clean and tidy. The height has been lowered by 50 mm. The GLC offers a wealth of comfort and safety features, especially the personalized settings, which maximize driver satisfaction.
Peak torque is 300 Nm (GLC200 4MATIC), 350 Nm (GLC260 4MATIC), and 370 Nm (GLC300 4MATIC), adjustable via an integrated knob on the center console, showcasing a beautiful roofline.
Exterior Dimensions
In terms of exterior dimensions, the GLC features a variety of materials, and uses sculpted lines to create a unique light and shadow effect on the body. In DYNAMIC SELECT mode, various materials are also available.
