Intelligent Power CTC Battery Chassis Integration Technology
As the first mass-produced battery pack-less CTC technology in China, Leapmotor highly integrates the battery, chassis and lower body, canceling the independent battery pack structure and directly using the body structure as the battery shell. By redesigning the battery tray and chassis coupling, the number of parts is reduced by 20%, the vertical space of the whole vehicle is increased by 10mm, and the space for battery arrangement is improved by 14.5%, while the torsional stiffness of the body is improved by 25%, and the lightweight coefficient reaches 2.4. This technology, together with the AI BMS battery management system, improves the range by 10% and realizes the potential of a range of 200km with 5 minutes of charging. At the safety level, it has passed more than 30 stringent tests such as bottom ball impact and heat diffusion, of which eight far exceed the national standard, such as the battery pack’s impact resistance has been improved by 30%. The technology has been applied first on Leapmotor C01, making it the world’s first EV without a separate battery pack.
Cloverleaf Central Integrated Electrical and Electronic Architecture
The core of Leapmotor’s independently developed LEAP 3.0 architecture integrates the four domain control systems of power, body, intelligent driving and cockpit into a single central supercomputing platform through domain fusion technology, reducing the length of the wiring harness by 30% and increasing the efficiency of data transmission by 50%. The architecture supports software-defined cars, and the high-level intelligent driving system equipped with Orin-X chip and LIDAR realizes urban NOA and automatic parking functions. For example, Leapmotor C16 realizes millisecond-level collaborative response between the cockpit and the Smart Driving System through this architecture, and is compatible with 800V high-voltage platform upgrades.
Self-developed Intelligent Cockpit System
Leapmotor OS based on Qualcomm 8295 chip is equipped with triple screen interaction (10.25-inch instrument + 14.6-inch center control + 10.25-inch passenger screen), with an arithmetic power of 30TOPS, supporting Face ID face recognition and full scene voice interaction. The first magic expansion hole design, the passenger side can be connected to a small table board, cell phone bracket and other equipment, and the introduction of 21-speaker Dolby Atmos sound system, the level of cockpit intelligence at the forefront of the class. For example, Leapmotor C16 is equipped with this cockpit as standard in the whole system, with a response speed of less than 500ms for voice commands, supporting continuous dialog and cross-function control.
High-efficiency Electric Drive and Suspension System
Leapmotor’s self-developed oil-cooled electric drive assembly uses flat wire windings and SiC silicon carbide modules, with a motor efficiency of 97.5% and a power density of 2.6kW/kg, which, together with CTC technology, enables the Leapmotor C01 to enter the 4-second class for zero-100 acceleration. The chassis adopts front MacPherson + rear five-link independent suspension, combined with KONI FSD variable damping shock absorber, realizing a balance between handling and comfort in B01 and other models, and the elk test score reaches 78km/h.
